Don't Wake the Beast!

At about 2 weeks, we all realized that Brady was colicky (sp?)
NOT AWESOME!!!
It was a harsh reality and jump into motherhood to say the least.
The only time he was quiet and pleasant was when he was sleeping or nursing.
Is that bad of me to say? That I enjoyed my baby most when I had a break?
Yikes. Well honestly it takes all your love, strength and patience to hold
a screaming baby from 2-6 am on almost a nightly basis!
So I did my best to love him, console him and not lose it all the time.
The kid has a PIERCING scream, and he has/had NO problem letting
us know he was NOT a happy camper. So for a while, all I took
were pictures of him when he was peaceful and sleeping, before I realized
to take pictures even if/when he cries because one day I will look
at the and laugh (I hope).
So here is the little love muffin...lookin' so sweet when he dreams!
Dream BIG little man!

...I think he is smirking here just thinking about all the raucous he likes to cause...

... This is more like it...

... Love those lips...
...My all-time FAVORITE picture of him sleeping....
...I think this is the ONLY time he has ever slept in his car seat...he HATES that thing...

What we didn't capture was the first time Brady pooped all over his momma, or the first time he peed all over himself during a diaper change! That is a sight I will never forget! I think Kaitlin was going to throw up everywhere, but all I could do was laugh hysterically. There was black poop EVERYWHERE and my mom said we should just get him in the tub and wash him off, but little did she remember that this is a little boy we are talking about and little boys have parts that need to heal before they can be submerged in water! I also remember the first time my mom told me to "make sure to wipe front to back sweetie". I did and then started laughing. She still didn't get it. "Mom, Brady is a boy. He has boy parts. We don't have to wipe front to back....we can wipe anyway we want to!" "oh ya haha that's funny"....There have been so many firsts for this little boy already and I am so excited to watch him grow and learn as time goes on! Love you Brady boy!
